It's Just Paper!

Hello Everyone!

It may sound silly to say but I have to say it.  This was a very hard lesson for me to learn and I find that I still struggle with it even now.  The main reason I craft is to have fun but sometimes I get so wrapped up in making something "perfect" that I chase away the fun.  I still have to remind myself of this especially when I do not get the look that I wanted.  Many times I have beautiful images in my head that I cannot seem to translate into real life.  I guess most crafters call this playing around but this is a process that I have had to learn.  One thing I do to overcome my aggravation at not getting something perfect is to put the item I am working on aside.  If I have an oopsie that I cannot fix or the project does not look as I had hoped I put it in a little container that I keep on the side of my table.  As you can see from my picture I have a decent amount of oopsies and unfinished works.  If you were to dig into the box you would find butterflies, hearts, pandas etc.  I periodically flip through the box for inspiration or just for an item I know I tucked away.
